A Modern Trousseau.

During the Victorian era, single young women prepared for their change in marital status by accumulating a trousseau – a “hope chest” of items that included bridal accessories, jewelry, and lingerie.

Though some traditions have not withstood the test of time, we still like the idea of creating a “modern trousseau” for brides.  And who better to get some advice on lingerie looks than one of Vancouver’s leading Boudoir photographer, Jennifer Williams?

Jennifer has put together some of her picks that would ensure your own “trousseau” is filled with gorgeous sexy pieces that will see you through your honeymoon and in the days to follow as a newlywed!

But that’s not all!  Have you always wanted to star in your own Boudoir photoshoot?  Simply comment your favourite look on this blog or on our Facebook page to be entered to win a $100.00 gift certificate!  Perfect for a bride, a present, or even for yourself!

Here we have the Chantilly Bra and Chantilly Knickers from BHLDN. Simple and elegant with a touch of vintage. I love the lace peeking out of the knickers.

Hanky Panky has a line of super cute bridal underthings.  Choose from ‘Bride’, ‘Hitched’, ‘I do’ and ‘Mrs’.  You can even get some for your bridesmaids!

Pictured below is the Penelope Basque from Agent Provocateur. It was also used in Beyonce’s music video for ‘Best thing I never had’.  It’s feminine, sexy and very figure flattering, which makes it the perfect bridal look for your wedding night. Don’t forget stockings!

Victoria’s Secret has a beautiful line of bridal lingerie. You can find things to wear under your dress and some sexy stuff for the honeymoon.  Maybe even something to wear for a boudoir photo shoot (he will love it)!

Tell us – what’s your favourite?
